A History Of Innovation
1987

Created first sleep diagnostic system to record and identify respiratory events, snoring, limb movements and report all events by body position

1988

Developed first diagnostic system to provide a look back mode during data collection, enabling data to be reviewed during the recording session

1989

Launched the industry's first piezo respiratory sensor, known as Resp-Ez, which transformed respiratory monitoring throughout the industry

1990

Introduced the first limb movement sensor, simplifying technical setup and making testing more comfortable for patients

1991

Unveiled the first disposable thermocouple-providing sleep labs with an innovative, economical alternative

1992

Introduced new AC and DC body position sensors that eliminated the separate interface box required by previous sensors

1994

Replaced invasive upper airway resistance sensors by creating a pharyngeal pressure patch

1995

Stay-Put prongs (the sleep industry's first over-molded airflow sensors) made their debut, ensuring comfort and signal accuracy during testing

1996

Introduced the first soft boil-and-bite oral appliance, eliminating the need to adjust the hard, outer shell in earlier appliances

1998

Launched the AC pressure airflow sensor, the industry's first-and still most economical- self-powered pressure airflow monitoring system

2001

Developed a sensor that will enable sleep professionals to measure EEG, EOG and EMG without skin preparation

2002 Created the Sleepmate Professional Training Series, the industry's first web-enabled sleep technical training series
2005  We Introduced a Complete NEW Look and improved 2nd Generation Product Line based on User Recommendations and Launched the Customer-centric Initiative called Customer First
2005 Began presenting live classroom education programs across the country.
2006 More than doubled our our live classroom education programs and started offering programs internationally.
2006 Pioneered the FIRST SLEEP INDUSTRY PODCAST newsletter and information services through RADIO SLEEPMATE.
